VAT on Digital Products (PMSE) Revenue Up to July 2025 Grows by 25.16%

JAKARTA. The realization of Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue from Trade Through Electronic Systems (PMSE) reached IDR 5.72 trillion during the period January–July 2025.
This amount reflects a 25.16% increase compared to PMSE VAT revenue in the same period in 2024, which stood at IDR 4.57 trillion.
This year’s revenue was collected from 210 PMSE companies, up from 163 companies during the same period last year.
The PMSE VAT collection policy has been in place since 2020. Cumulatively, from 2020 through July 2025, total PMSE VAT revenue has reached IDR 31.06 trillion.
Breakdown of annual PMSE VAT revenue:
- 2020: IDR 731.4 billion
- 2021: IDR 3.90 trillion
- 2022: IDR 5.51 trillion
- 2023: IDR 6.76 trillion
- 2024: IDR 8.44 trillion
- 2025 (Jan–Jul): IDR 5.72 trillion
Meanwhile, according to the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT), as of the end of July 2025, a total of 223 companies have been appointed as PMSE VAT collectors. In July alone, the DGT added three new companies to the list: Scalable Hosting Solutions OÜ, Express Technologies Limited, and Finelo Limited. (ASP/KEN)
