MUC Consulting Group's Pricing Team Awarded by the CIOT
MSI Global Alliance's Indonesian accounting, tax and law firm member MUC Consulting Group’s transfer pricing team has successfully passed the Transfer Pricing Paper Examination held by the Chartered Institute of Taxation (CIOT), the leading professional body in the UK for advisers dealing with all aspects of taxation. The examination was held on 9 June 2011 in Singapore and was participated by 73 participants from Europe, USA, and Asia. MUC Consulting Group (MUC) is the only tax consulting firm from Indonesia that took this opportunity. From all participants, only 57 participants passed the examination, and 6 of them were from MUC. With this success, MUC’s Transfer Pricing and International Taxation Division currently is supported by senior consultants with the international Transfer Pricing Certificate.
MUC's Transfer Pricing Division was established to complete various tax services provided by MUC Consulting Group. The division is aimed to assist MUC’s clients in preparing Transfer Pricing Documentation and handling international taxation issues in compliance with the Indonesian Tax Regulation. Services provided by this division are: Transfer Pricing Documentation, Tax Planning for Cross-Border Transaction, Transfer Pricing Review, Transfer Pricing Audit, Transfer Pricing Dispute Resolution, and Transfer Pricing In-house Training.
With the effort of the Indonesian Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) to gain the state revenue and analyze potential tax evasion on international taxation, the Transfer Pricing Division is expected to assist clients on their international transactions as well as to prevent them from sanction due to failure in complying with the prevailing regulation. Moreover, nowadays DGT always keeps an eye on transfer pricing and international taxation issues, such as pricing and profit shifting within groups of multinational companies. For this purpose, DGT has set up a special Transfer Pricing Unit and is also preparing a specific group of transfer pricing auditors in each District Tax Office. (Maya Rollinson - 05 September 2011)
