Rakhmah Sofia

Rakhmah Sofia leads high-level engagements involving tax litigation, transfer pricing controversy, and international and indirect tax matters for both domestic and multinational clients across a wide range of industries. 

Rakhmah began her professional journey at MUC Consulting in 2011 as a Junior Consultant, steadily advancing to a Senior level. In 2014, she joined one of the Big 4 firms, where she held key roles in the Global Employer Services and Business Tax Divisions, ultimately serving as an Assistant Manager. In 2022, she rejoined MUC Consulting to lead the Tax Advisory, Audit, and Litigation Division, focusing on complex and high-stakes tax cases. 

One of her notable achievements includes successfully resolving a long-standing dispute involving the reconstruction of operating margin calculations in a tax audit case with one of the world’s Fortune 500 technology companies. The assignment involved direct coordination with the client's domestic and regional tax teams, as well as the Indonesian Tax Authority, and required innovative technical analysis and strategic negotiation. Acknowledged for her exceptional expertise, Rakhmah was listed as a Promoted Practitioner in Tax Controversy by International Tax Review (ITR) in 2026.  

Currently serving as the Treasurer of Tim Berbagi Sesama Foundation reflects Rakhmah’s strong commitment to social care and community engagement, complementing her leadership in the professional sphere.
