Wahyu Nuryanto has a deep understanding of international taxation, particularly in relation to Double Tax Avoidance Agreements (DTAA) and the Japanese taxation system. Before joining MUC Consulting in 2010, he served at the Directorate General of Taxes, where he was involved in the drafting and implementation of international taxation policies for years.
His diverse academic background supports his professional career, leading to his current role as a Tax Partner at MUC Consulting. Wahyu graduated from the Indonesian State College of Accountancy (STAN) and earned his Bachelor’s degree from Universitas Airlangga before obtaining a Master of Public Administration degree from National Graduate Institute for Policy Studies, Tokyo, Japan in 2002. He also earned an international tax certification from the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 2011.
Wahyu has also received global recognition as a World TP Highly Regarded Practitioner for Transfer Pricing by International Tax Review, one of the world’s leading guides to top tax firms and practitioners across more than 140 jurisdictions worldwide.
His insights and ideas on taxation have been published in various scientific papers, books, and mass media articles. He is also actively involved in the drafting of tax regulations and is frequently invited as a speaker at taxation seminars and training programs.
