DGT Records 5.29% Contraction in Tax Revenue Realization as of July

JAKARTA. The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) reported that tax revenue realization for the period January–July 2025 contracted by 5.29% year on year to Rp 990.01 trillion.

This was conveyed by Director General of Taxes, Bimo Wijayanto, on Wednesday (September 10) in Jakarta during a Public Hearing Meeting between the government and Commission XI of the House of Representatives (DPR).

In detail, the revenue realization consisted of Income Tax Article 21 amounting to Rp 174.47 trillion, a decrease of 9.1% compared to the realization in July 2024. Then, the realization of Individual Income Tax was recorded at Rp 14.98 trillion, an increase of 37.7% from the July 2024 realization.

Next, the realization of Value Added Tax (VAT) and Sales Tax on Luxury Goods (STLG) amounted to Rp 350.62 trillion, as well as Land and Building Tax (LBT) amounting to Rp 12.53 trillion.

According to Bisnis.com, the total tax revenue collected is equivalent to 69.3% of total state revenue for the January–July 2025 period.

Meanwhile, when compared to the 2025 State Budget (APBN) target, the tax revenue realization has only reached 47.2%. (ASP/KEN)
