Brace for It, Purbaya to Pursue IDR60T in Finalized Tax Receivables
JAKARTA. The Ministry of Finance has announced plans to pursue outstanding tax receivables totaling IDR60 trillion, originating from court rulings that have reached legal finality (inkracht).
According to Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, the ministry already has a list of 200 major taxpayers with unresolved tax debts. "We will execute this. The target is around IDR50–60 trillion," said Purbaya during the presentation of the 2025 State Budget (APBN) realization report on Monday (22/9) in Jakarta.
He emphasized that collections will begin soon, as part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to meet the 2025 tax revenue target of IDR2,076.9 trillion.
Tax Revenue Realization as of August 2025
As of the end of August 2025, net tax revenue realization reached IDR1,135.44 trillion, equivalent to 54.7% of the revenue outlook and 51.9% of the 2025 State Budget (APBN) target.
In addition to legal enforcement efforts, the Ministry of Finance has prepared several other measures to boost tax revenue. These include accelerating economic growth, one of which is through the placement of IDR200 trillion in funds across several banks.
Another key measure is increased collaboration with law enforcement institutions such as the National Police, the Attorney General’s Office, and the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Furthermore, Minister Purbaya stated that the Ministry of Finance will also continue its data exchange initiatives and work on resolving issues within the tax administration system, particularly the Coretax system. (ASP/KEN)
