JAKARTA. The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has sent out outreach information about the new tax system, the Coretax Administration System (Coretax), to taxpayers via email and WhatsApp.
The Coretax system is set to be implemented starting January 1, 2025. To facilitate its use, the DGT has launched a Coretax simulator and supporting regulations. The message encourages taxpayers to access updates related to Coretax on the official website at https://pajak.go.id/id/reformdjp/coretax.
The provisions regarding the use of Coretax are outlined in the Ministry of Finance Regulation (PMK) Number 81 of 2024. This regulation was issued to accommodate changes in tax business processes through Coretax.
Taxpayers are also encouraged to seek further information by contacting the nearest tax office or through the Kring Pajak helpline at 1500 200.
Beware of Scams
In an announcement made on Sunday (24/11), the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) also warned taxpayers to be cautious of any information related to Coretax that claims to be from DGT.
This is especially important if receiving messages asking taxpayers to access APK files, download certain applications, request updates or matching of Population Identity Numbers (NIK) with Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TIN), verify sensitive data, transfer money, or provide One Time Password (OTP) codes.
The DGT ensures that profile updates can only be made at the request of the taxpayer. Therefore, if you receive suspicious messages, the DGT advises taxpayers to report them through the services at https://aduannomor.id/ or https://aduankonten.id/. (ASP/KEN)
