MUC Professional Nendi Bahtiar Presents TP Documentation Strategies to UI Students

JAKARTA. Transfer Pricing Manager & Head of Pillar 2 Tax Advisory Services, Nendi Bahtiar, highlighted the importance of understanding transfer pricing regulations to students of the Fiscal Administration Department, Universitas Indonesia.

He delivered this message during the 2025 Tax Seminar & Workshop organized by the Student Association of Fiscal Administration at Universitas Indonesia (HMP UI) on Thursday (23/10). The seminar carried the theme, “Closing the Loopholes: Global Tax Reform and the Fate of Transfer Pricing.”

During his presentation, Nendi outlined several key aspects of Indonesia’s transfer pricing rules. These included the definition and concepts of transfer pricing, the impact of Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) 1.0 on Transfer Pricing Documentation (TP Doc), and the procedures for preparing such documentation.

As a result, the materials presented were not only theoretical but also drawn from practical issues frequently encountered by consultants in the field.

“This is a valuable opportunity for me, as I get to share material they typically don’t receive in the classroom,” said Nendi.

Strengthening TP Understanding Through Case Studies

In addition to delivering the material, MUC Consulting also facilitated a case study session, which was then discussed collaboratively with the participants. Students were divided into several groups to solve and present case examples related to the topics discussed.

Nendi expressed hope that more educational institutions will host similar events, given that transfer pricing is a common practice in the industry—especially among multinational companies.

He highlighted MUC Consulting’s strong commitment to human resource development, particularly in the field of taxation.

“It’s an honor for MUC to take part in events like this,” he concluded.

In addition to the transfer pricing topic, the seminar also covered provisions related to the Global Minimum Tax (GMT), presented by DDTC Manager Riyhan Juli Asyir. The discussion was moderated by Ridzza Djumri. (ASP/KEN)
