JAKARTA. On the final day of the filing deadline for Annual Corporate Income Tax Returns, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) announced a filing relief policy for corporate taxpayers.
The relief waives administrative sanctions for Annual Corporate Income Tax Returns submitted after April 30, 2026.
Quoting Kontan.co.id, Director General of Taxes Bimo Wijayanto announced the decision on Thursday (April 30), stating that it was made following instructions from Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa.
Reason for the Filing Relief
Bimo did not elaborate on the reasons behind the policy but noted that the DGT Coretax System, Indonesia's core tax administration system, is still undergoing refinement.
Through this filing relief, he expressed hope that corporate taxpayers would be able to submit their Annual Corporate Income Tax Returns more accurately and completely.
Regulation to Be Issued Soon
At the time this article was published, the DGT had not yet issued the official regulation governing the filing relief, as the policy was still being finalized.
Previously, the DGT also granted similar filing relief to individual taxpayers. Individuals who submitted their Annual Income Tax Returns after the March 31, 2026 deadline were exempted from administrative sanctions until April 30, 2026. (KEN)
