MUC Welcomes Universitas Pakuan Visit, Showcases Ethically-Based Tax Practices
JAKARTA. MUC Consulting warmly welcomed the visit of more than 50 students from the Accounting Study Program of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB), Universitas Pakuan Bogor, on Tuesday (17/6).
Through this visit, it is expected that participants will gain deeper insights into the tax industry in practice, thereby helping to narrow the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application.
In general, there are three main objectives of this activity. First, to equip accounting students with practical skills that are relevant and necessary in the professional world.
Second, to make the visit experience an integral part of the learning process. Third, to bridge the accounting theories taught in academic settings with real-world practice.
Company Visit Activities
To achieve these goals and provide participants with relevant experiences, MUC Consulting delivered several materials related to the practices of the tax consulting profession.
During the company visit, participants engaged in two main activities. First, a general presentation through a sharing session and Q&A. Second, participants were taken on an Office Tour to observe the working environment at MUC Consulting.
On this occasion, Director of MUC Consulting, Erry Tri Merryta, shared several key points to equip participants for a professional career.
First, the importance of understanding the company one aspires to work for, especially its values and culture, as these are the foundation that shapes everyone within the organization.
Core Values of a Tax Consultant
For this reason, MUC Consulting upholds strong ethical and professional values. These principles are embedded in the company’s policies and code of conduct since its establishment in 1999.
Second, anyone who wishes to pursue a career as a tax consultant must be committed to strengthening their literacy skills, especially in the era of conveniences brought by Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Third, Erry also encouraged participants to make the most of the opportunity to learn directly at MUC Consulting. “This serves as an introduction to consulting service providers, especially tax consultants,” Erry concluded. (ASP/KEN)
