Tax Offices Closed Until April 7, 2025, SPT Filing Available Only via DGT Online

JAKARTA. The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) will suspend operations at all tax offices during the holidays and collective leave for Nyepi (Saka New Year 1947) on March 28–29 and the Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri holidays on March 31–April 1, 2025.

Tax office operations will be closed from March 28 to April 7, 2025, and will resume on April 8, 2025.

As a result, all tax services that are normally provided offline will be unavailable during this period, including the submission of the 2024 Annual Income Tax Return (SPT).

The Use of DGT Online

During this period, taxpayers can still submit their Annual Tax Return (SPT) electronically, such as through e-filing on the DGT Online platform.

“In connection with the collective leave and national holidays as mentioned in point 2, the submission of Individual Income Tax Annual Returns can still be carried out through electronic channels,” the DGT announced in its statement.

Sanction Waiver

In addition to providing online tax services, the DGT is also offering relaxation measures for individual taxpayers whose Annual Income Tax Return (SPT) is due on March 31, 2025.

The relaxation is an administrative sanction waiver for late submission of the annual tax return, provided it is submitted after March 31, 2025, but no later than April 11, 2025. This is following the Director General of Taxes Decree No. KEP-67/PJ/2025.

A similar sanction waiver also applies to the submission of VAT periodic tax returns, which are due on March 31, 2025.

However, the relaxation for VAT return submissions is valid only until April 10, 2025, as stipulated in KEP-79/PJ/2025. (ASP/KEN)
