MUC Consulting Partner Attends AOTCA 2025 International Tax Conference in Nepal
JAKARTA. Karsino Miarso, Partner at MUC Consulting, attended the International Tax Conference organized by the Asian-Oceanian Tax Consultants’ Association (AOTCA).
The event took place from 18–21 November 2025 in Kathmandu, Nepal, under the theme “Evolution of Tax Laws in Developing Countries and the Role of Tax Professionals.”
The AOTCA 2025 International Conference brought together tax professionals from 30 countries across Asia, Oceania, and Africa. The number of delegates attending the event in the “roof of the world” reached 1,200 participants.
The conference aimed to generate breakthroughs that support a more inclusive, efficient, and growth-oriented tax system.
This initiative is especially relevant as many AOTCA member countries, most of which are developing nations, are currently facing a range of challenges, including globalization pressures, digital disruption, and rising inequality.

Discussion Topics
Several key topics were addressed during the conference, including developments in the global tax system, challenges in implementing tax policies in developing countries, the role of professionals in enhancing compliance, digital transformation in taxation, and discussions on the code of ethics for tax professionals.
Karsino emphasized that this event is important not only for the advancement of global taxation but also for Indonesia. For that reason, MUC participated in the conference to gain insights that could be applied to the development of the domestic tax system.
As one of Indonesia’s leading tax consulting firms, MUC Consulting is deeply committed to supporting the growth of the industry and the broader economy through the promotion of transparent and equitable tax practices.
