Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa Replaces Sri Mulyani as Minister of Finance

JAKARTA. President Prabowo Subianto inaugurated Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa as Minister of Finance, replacing Sri Mulyani Indrawati, on Monday (8/9) at the State Palace in Jakarta.
Quoting Kontan.co.id, the appointment of the former Expert Staff to the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs for the 2010–2014 period is stated in Presidential Decree Number 86P of 2025.
Previously, Sri Mulyani served as Minister of Finance under three different administrations. First, under President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono from 2005 to 2010. Second, during President Joko Widodo’s term from 2016 to 2024. And then under President Prabowo Subianto.
Cabinet Reshuffle
The inauguration of Purbaya as Minister of Finance was conducted alongside the appointment of three other ministers and one deputy minister.
Among those included in the reshuffle were the Minister for the Protection of Indonesian Migrant Workers, now held by Muchtarudin, replacing Abdul Kadir Karding; the Minister of Cooperatives, Ferry Juliantono, replacing Budi Arie Setiadi; and the Minister of Hajj and Umrah, M. Irfan Yusuf, who will lead the newly established ministry.
In addition, one new deputy minister was appointed: Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dahnil Anzar Simanjuntak. (ASP/KEN)
