Sri Mulyani Highlights Recovery in Tax Revenue in March

JAKARTA. Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani stated that tax revenue realization in March 2025 showed improvement compared to January and February 2025.
The tax revenue realization throughout March amounted to IDR 134.8 trillion, while in January and February 2025, it stood at IDR 88.9 trillion and IDR 98.9 trillion, respectively.
As a result, cumulatively, as quoted from bisnis.com, tax revenue realization from January to March 2025 reached IDR 322.6 trillion.
Coretax Factor
According to Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, one of the reasons for the improved tax revenue in March was the enhancement of tax administration performance through the Coretax system.
"The increase in tax revenue was supported by various tax reform programs aimed at improving tax administration and the implementation of Coretax," said Sri Mulyani on Thursday (April 24).

Cumulative Growth Remains Negative
Although there was month-to-month improvement, the cumulative performance of tax revenue in the first quarter of 2025 remained lower than the same period last year.
This is because, on a year-on-year basis, tax revenue from January to March 2025 still recorded a contraction of 18.1%.
In comparison, tax revenue realization in Q1 2024 amounted to IDR 393.9 trillion, IDR 71.3 trillion higher than this year's figure.
Therefore, the government hopes to optimize tax revenue this year and achieve positive growth compared to the previous year.
Meanwhile, under the 2025 State Budget (APBN), the government has set a tax revenue target of IDR 2,189.3 trillion. (ASP/KEN)
