The Coretax System Remains Troubled, DGT Apologizes.

JAKARTA. The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) apologizes for the issues encountered in the implementation of the DGT Coretax system, which began on January 1, 2025.

In a written statement, DGT acknowledged that several issues in the use of this service feature have caused inconvenience and delays in tax administration services for taxpayers.

To address these issues, DGT continues to make improvements and refinements to the Coretax system. Several corrective measures have been implemented so far.

These include, first, infrastructure upgrades to expand the network and increase bandwidth capacity. Second, administrative adjustments through the designation of company responsible persons (role access/impersonate) and the responsible person for company administration (PIC) to ease the tax invoice creation.

Improvement in Tax Invoice Submission

In addition, regarding tax invoices, the Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) has enhanced its system capabilities to accept invoices in *.xml format for up to 100 invoices per submission and improved the document printing feature for tax invoices.

For registration and payment services, enhancements have been made to the password reset process, NIK-NPWP (Population Identity Number-Tax ID Number) matching, data updates, and the payment of billing codes and tax arrears through a face recognition feature.

Lastly, the DGT has simplified the submission process for the Tax Exemption Certificate (SKB), Taxpayer Status Confirmation (KSWP), and VAT-Registered Person Status (PKP). Through these efforts, the DJP aims to improve service quality and provide greater convenience to taxpayers.

As of January 9, 2025, at 6:55 PM WIB, 126,590 taxpayers have successfully obtained digital certificates for signing tax invoices. Additionally, 34,401 taxpayers have successfully created 845,514 tax invoices, with 236,221 invoices validated.

No Administrative Sanctions

The Directorate General of Taxes (DGT) emphasized that taxpayers need not worry about administrative sanctions during the transition period due to delays in issuing invoices or filing taxes.

The DGT ensures that no additional burden will be imposed due to discrepancies between the new and old systems. The DGT also expressed appreciation for the cooperation and patience of taxpayers during this transition. For further information, taxpayers can visit the DGT's official website at www.pajak.go.id or contact the Tax Call Center at 1500 200.

"The DGT is committed to continuously improving and refining the Coretax system to support the creation of a more advanced tax information system," the statement concluded. (KEN)
